S/D Bassists #86 - Dollar Tree Romance

I think Motorhead's mystique is all about Lemmy's force of personality, not the songs. That said, yeah, it's pretty rare that I'll sit and listen to an entire Motorhead album. Actually, when the new album Aftershock came out, a buddy and I were out of our heads blasting it and watching a 70s Wings show on TV on mute. It oddly made sense in few spots...

ive disliked what ive heard so much i didnt bother listening anymore, but im just assuming lemmys tone is all grind and no real low end?

Pretty much, yeah.

theres just nothing i find good about them. their music comes across and hokey and cheesy, lemmy cant sing, theres no kick ass heavy riffage, theres nothing epic, its just like overhyped edgy late 70s rock. and i have no problem understanding the time period and the "it was cool back then" factor, but theres so much better music from that era that i have no clue how motorhead got so big. their name is awesome, thats about as far as it goes lol.
I agree with everything you say on this. No Motorhead for me. I guess it's before my time.(I'm 30)
