that white and tort looks great..here is my black and tort ( the actual tort is not as red as the pic, must be the lighting)
Looks like D'Addario tapewounds on there. How do you like them? I love them on my passive jazz basses and I'm about to put them on an active Ibanez tuned BEAD with alnico pickups...anxious to hear how it sounds.
Sounds good @edencab I love the feel and playability of them so I've been putting them on a lot of my basses. I figure the Ibanez SRX 300 I have is the closest thing to a S.U.B. that I own so i was just curious. Thanks!

Mine must be a 2001 then,Thanks!
Ok,Thanks, forgot what years they were made? No, he said that EBMM do NOT incorporate the dates into the serial number. The SUB was made between 2003 and 2006 only.
Is this the right place for this ?

Got told I'd won it on Thursday and it arrived last night. London,England to Falkirk,Scotland is about 380 mile so less than 24 hour delivery is pretty amazingSays it's a MIC Sub Sterling by MM. I'm finding a big volume imbalance going from E string to A,D & G. Tried lowering the pickup on E side but that didn't help so raised it hoping the magnet pull would tame the E. Again to no avail. Could just be a super bright E and dud A,D & G strings but any pointers would be welcome. Cheers KB

Alright ladies and gents. I guess I'll play as well. Here is my black SLO S.U.B. Currently has Ernie flats and the only cosmetic change at this point is the skull knobs. SOON it will be getting a new pickguard and control plate.

I posted a while ago about my S.U.B., which i love but doesn’t get the playing time it should because the painted neck has become shiny with use and slightly sticky.
I’ve since gone over it with fine steel wool, which has helped somewhat, but not quite enough.
What are my options? In an ideal world, I’d like to have the original finish restored, but I realize it may not be possible. What do you think? A complete refinish? Sand the paint off completely and oil it like a StingRay? I’ve also toyed with the idea of replacing the neck with a Status Graphite neck.
Hi guys... I've been gassing hard for one of these for a while. I had the Sub Ray 4 and liked it, kinda regret selling it. So I saw this in my local classifieds and wondered what you guys thought about it. It seems legit, but I've never seen a finish like this one. The owner claims it was a custom paint job done by the company. Here's the link: Invalid Link Removed
It's around 800 bucks.
Thanks!!
