Just got the Status, neck from England. It got here in 4 days, after ordered! Usually takes 5 weeks, but they had one in stock. Just got holes drilled in the neck heel, and got it mounted. It was a tight fit,but it bolted up okay. Now got to get holes drilled for tuners. Ordered new Music Man stamped tuners, and ferrules. Holes were already drilled for the ferrules to fit into the head stock. Going to look at the hole pattern for tuners, from @maxschrek post on the neck he had refinished. Little nervous, about drilling holes for the tuners.

Man, that looks badass!!!!!
I totally recommend using a drill press for those tuner screw holes, if you have access to one.

Not trying to bore you all,but finally got the last hole drilled! Got the neck on without much trouble just anxious moments at times. But this is a heavy one? Not weighed it yet,but feels heavy. Got new round wound strings,on and

set intonation, and everything looks in alignment. Always had the active SUB's,this one is the passive version. Not good at soldering, and don't have solder gun,so reason I went with the solderless EMGMMHZ passive pickup. I still have the original three knob harness. After getting strings,on tuned it up set intonation, and been playing it,sounds great. The neck is awesome, and the feel is so smooth, almost plays itself.

Guess couldn't leave it alone. I decided I wanted to go with a Nordstrand MM4.2 and so I got one another great TBer put up for sale. I got the EMGMMHZ passive pickup, because of all the soldering I would not need to do,not that great at soldering, and getting it right. The EMG pickup is just plug in type pickup. Also I wanted the pickup with exposed poles, like the MM pickups look like,Just me of course. Should have the Nordstrand pickup by Wednesday. Great TBer friend that lives close said he would solder it in for me. Will be practicing social distancing of course! Will need to sell the EMGMMHZ pickup now. Update, got the Nordstrand pickup wired up,and changed pick guard with a vinyl to match the Status graphite neck.

Was wanting to get the original style neck, for the SUB body. Couldn't seem to find one, reason I went with the Status Graphite neck. After getting the graphite neck, noticed someone posted they had the original style neck? Contacted them, and decided to get it from them. After putting the Status neck up for sale, had couple people interested in the Status neck. Found out a person, had a original style neck,to trade me for the Status. So we worked out a trade, and the person was located less than 150 miles from me! Make a long story short, the trade was made, and here is what I originally was trying to accomplish. Persistence Prevailed!

I'm back!!!..after selling all my mint condition SUBs like a fool, I was able to nab this one it was sold as excellent condition but it was far from that, some notable dents, missing a knob and nasty as all get out, but its getting difficult to find perfect subs and this one it about 70% of the ones I had. So at least I'm back in the club..guess what the odds are of selling this one. Purchased a sterling Ray34 PB, and that thing plays like butter, but i do love the subs...

Glad you were able to find the neck. Looks great. Also I prefer the passive version over the active of these SUBs as I find the tone a little warmer.
My passive SUB is a dead ringer to yours. lol

If I remember,I might have got one of your SUB's back then, not for sure. I have had couple white ones, teal, and couple of black ones. Managed to get another black passive SUB this time. Most of mine were the active ones.

Hi all. Here's my USA SUB w/Status neck. On the control plate, notice the "Boomerang" shape? Where the front of the control plate is slightly thicker than the rear and it isn't a true curve? It's there if you can't see it.
Almost every aftermarket control plate I see has the natural curve and NOT the Boomerang curve. The holes in the body are factory so mine isn't aftermarket.
Can I get any advice as to where I can get a proper Black Control plate to fit the current screw holes?
I also noticed that some of the SUBs shown here on this thread don't have the boomerang shape plate, like the black one above this post. Weird.

Below is the one I ordered and it's just all wrong. It's not thicker at front end but is at the rear where the jack should be. I tried to fit it and it only fits when turned upside down, like a lefty. This presents a problem because the nice finish and counter-sunk screw holes are on the front. I turned it upside down and the screw holes aligned properly. BUT I can't use it like this. GPF said they never heard of such an issue, of course, so I'm wondering if you can look at your SUB and tell me if your plate is similar to mine? I NEED to find a black plate to match the black neck, tuners and bridge that's on the way.
Thanks!
