Here's one that tugs my heartstrings..
How He Loves - John Mark McMillan
He explains the song in this video. Powerful stuff.
I would classify that as a beautiful happy song...showing God's powerful love.
I always loved the story told in The River by Bruce Springsteen. You can feel the pain in his voice
Only the Strong By FLAW... especially the acoustic version
That whole album is pretty depressing, if I remember right.
I Can't Make You Love Me - Bonnie Raitt version
I Can Only Imagine - Mercy Me

If "Christ what have you done" upsets you, I don't understand how you can like Faithless, Free Will, Roll the Bones, Brought Up to Believe...
a point for the religious people offended by the use of "christ" in The Pass: Neil Peart doesn't believe in religion (not sure if he's an athiest or agnostic), so I believe the "christ" as an "expletive" wasn't a conscious decision on his part as far as wanting to be "disturbing". to him, it's just another word, and he probably threw it in there because most people would say something along that manner when discovering something like suicide.
