The battery pack and strap clip do seem flimsy. The default bass-to-transmitter cable made by Hosa is definitely flimsy... mine didn't last long... and the replacement made by Whirlwind (I think) is spendy. Finally, the front panel has a clear plastic cover, and mine warped a bit when I played an outdoor summer gig in direct sun.

Despite the negatives, I think it's a fine unit. Fidelity is outstanding and I've never lost reception even when wandering around at larger bars. To me, these are the most important factors.

+1 I get the same from one battery and power down between sets too. Cheaper batteries last less. But, I use the Ultra Life batteries and they work fine for me. I bought a nice replacement cable with angled jack from Tour Electronics off of ebay for like $30. that is great. I never lost reception either. My X2 is before Line 6 took them over. I cant imagine they changed anything.

I'm jamming bass in Versed in Grey at The Marquee Theater on May 7th in these shots.

There is also video for these shots. It can be enlarged and put in HD if you desire. My favorite part is in the middle with the sample when the crowd is shown, but there are other fun parts!

Anybody with a Line 6 Relay Gxx wireless system, have you used rechargeable AA's with those? I find that rechargeable batteries are typically just a bit larger than regular Alkaline batteries, and was wondering if that had been an issue.

It is my impression that rechageable AA's are the same size as one way AA's. With 9V batteries I found a difference in size, though.

The Relay series uses standard 1/4" jacks.
I made a custom George L .255" cable using a straight jack and a angled one (+ one for back up)

I like it as well. One of the better shots of me. Would like it to have taken 10 years off though. Outdoor festival where it rained all day. The Ampeg SVT set to weld from the band before was a new experience. I didn't need quite as much volume. The SVT is brutal but fun back line to have.

While you wait for that to come around, did you look in the sold gallery on their site for other examples of your combo? I'd be surprised if there weren't any up there. You've spec'd what should be a really popular config IMHO.

Yeah, They are there and I have looked @ them a thousand times. LOL Your 5249 is one of my Favorites on there. I was just wanting to see if the Caramel burst sort of stood out on a dim stage. I think it will look good under the lights or when the stage is dim. That is sorta why I picked that over the 59 Burst. Even though I have pondered Caramel, Cherry and 59 Burst to death. The 59 Burst is so classic and beautiful but I wanted something that stood out a little more on stage but not quite as bright as natural Maple.
