How can you say keep a low profile on this and still post it when Roger Sadowsky and his employees are members of this board?

This is the biggest bass board and you expect this to stay quiet?

Nino? Any confirmations?

The following message was sent to me when I inquired about the new Sadowsky amp line.

Hi Andrew,

We plan to release our amp and speaker line in early 2005. We'll be doing a 600 watt
ultralight bass amp with a tube in the preamp and the output stage, and a 200 watt
guitar amp with reverb.

They're most likely going to be all digital power so they'll be very compact and
light weight.

Hmmmm... Digital SS amp, with a tube in the preamp and in the output stage. Sounds interesting! I wonder if this approach will be like the Walkabout (except with a class D amp instead of MOSFETs), where there is a preamp tube and a second tube to drive the MOSFETs?

Either way, Roger and his crew certainly know what they are doing, and I can't way to see and hear what they come up with!

sounds cool, although it sucks that once again we'll have more options to get GAS over.

:ninja: Now don't tell Ilovepink this, but i hear that Sadowsky won't be making all the parts for their amps. They're going "cheat" and buy things like tubes, pots, caps, and whole bunch of stuff from other manufacturers, and then charge us hand made prices for them!!! :p :D ;)

Uhhh, hey people...those list prices posted by angelopb...you think maybe it was a JOKE? You know, when someone says something rediculous so that you will laugh?

I'm sure the new amps and speakers will not be cheap, but it costs a lot of money to make quality audio gear, just as it does to make quality instruments. I like the fact that the products Roger markets are designed for people who gig regularly...practical solid reliable good sounding gear without all the hype.

Hi!

I will guarantee you one thing. If Roger Sadowsky's name is on this line of amps, they will kill!!! He doesn't bother with anything but the best. NYC basses, Metros, his preamp, etc. I'm real interested in checking them out

I assume what was meant is that they will be all-tube amps with a SMPS (switch mode power supply).
