Sadowsky Metroline Express??

Hey Roger, does the factory make instruments for other major builders? Is it the esp factory?
You're killing me here. I'm really trying to be good.

Can you get a white pickguard on the Olympic white?

At some point I imagine I will have replacement Pickguards on our online store. But for now...no options.

id love to see how much better these are than the Fender American Elite

I've got one of the Elites and a Sadowsky Metro. There are great things about the Fender and it sounds very good, but it's heavy as hell.

These Express models will be less expensive than the Fender AND lighter in weight - along with the same electronics as the nyc and metro models.

Fender has to be a little worried. I know my next bass is going to be a Metro Express in ice blue metallic and morado. :D

So much this! I played an Elite last week, and while I liked how it played, it was REALLY heavy. And I hate the black pearloid blocks and silver logo. Too much weird flashiness (and I feel like it needs the 70s logo if you're gonna do blocks) for my taste (and my '78 Jazz is one of my favorite basses). I'd been looking hard at one of the satin series, but even those are a bit hard to justify at the moment, as nice as they are. So when I saw the announcement for these, I literally did a fist pump and a "woohoo!" (and woke my wife up. Whoops. I explained the source of my excitement, and got a "that's nice...." So she's clearly as excited as I am.)

Anyway, now I'm trying to figure out how to fit one of these in my budget...

Fender SHOULD be a little worried. Nice move by Roger on this line. Fender 5's are too heavy and I never liked the full size body. I've owned a couple of them and did not like them. The Metro is a little too high of a price point to compete with the Fender MIA basses IMO. Metro Express is actually "twenny-fi-dollars" cheaper than the new Fenders. I'm planning on getting a Metro Express in Sage Green / RW board as soon as they're available.
