So the 4 string sunburst pictured above has a tort guard but on the website the sunburst has a white/parchment guard, do you know which one will be standard ?

As of now, the burst comes with a mint guard... not sure where the tort guard for the bass on pictured on the previous page came from.

I love the sunburst/tortoiseshell combination! If the tort pickguard isn't available on the sunburst model, I'm hoping to be able to buy one and install it myself.

Oh yes......it will be mine.(because i put a deposit on this exact model actually).Personally, I like the mint guard with the maple neck, and the tort guard looks great with the Pau Ferro.

Congrats, I agree, mint looks great with the maple neck but I prefer tort on the darker woods.

I'm the one who post that burst with tort pickguard. I can confirm that here in Japan both tort and mint guard are available depending on the type of wood used for the body.....Ash equals mint guard, alder equals tort.

Tort is available on sunburst with alder body only. I have no idea if this alder/sunburst/tort combinations will be available worldwide but I can confirm it is available here in Japan.

I grabbed this Metro Express for a great deal used from Ishibiashi. Just like my maple neck one, it's extremely light and sounds like a Sadowsky should.

Glad you are liking it! I've been enjoying playing the ones we have in the showroom (and on the shelf)... I'm sure that the last few in our first shipment that haven't been reserved will go soon.

Yes, they have standard Sadowsky electronics.
