Is it October now? The last I heard it was August. It's been hard enough to wait this long. What's going on with the production of these things. My order just got delayed from July to October now...?

I'm confirming, but the oct info is based on the update here: Invalid Link Removed
Their first shipment is September and their second shipment is October.
I have 2 MetroLines, 4 String red Will Lee (about 6 years old) and a new (3 months) MV5, Burgundy Mist. I've been playing for 41 years, these are bye far, the best sounding and playing basses I have ever played/owned. My '62 P-Bass is on the same level, just a different animal. Sound men , fellow musicians, and friends always comment on the tone. Add to that, Roger and his staff's service, and these basses are worth every penny. From what I have read, reviews, the Metro Express continues in this legacy.Sadowsky customer service alone makes me want to buy one of these even though I don’t need one.
Off topic but, has there ever been a sadowsky 5 with 17 o 16.5mm spacing? I know they come at 19mm but just wondering because it is my preferred spacing.
We offer an optional 18mm bridge for 5 string basses. That is as narrow as we go.

I am happy to report that our first shipment of MetroExpress basses is in transit to Sadowsky Guitars!
More should follow on a regular basis now.
I like my satin four string so much, I did this...Well, the folks at Sadowsky complied with my firm demands, and today FEDEX delivered my beautiful new ash/maple tobacco burst 5 metro express.
Have been playing it for hours today thru my board, and my genz/greenboy setup and its MONSTER. Just to clarify, I previously owned a metro, which was built back in 2012 and the quality on this new one is just a bit better. The major difference is the neck feel. I do not know how they have created such a silky finish on the maple neck. The sanding work is really like nothing I’ve ever seen. It feels as smooth as silk, it’s quite incredible. And that finish is over the entirety of the neck. headstock, front back, all sanded to this incredibly smooth finish. Fingerboard, fretwork, everything is just Aces on this neck.
The body is exactly what you’d expect of a new Sadowsky. Perfect gloss finish (expensive looking) Entire assembly is spot on. It looks just like a New York model. Sound is pure Sadowsky. I’ve used this preamp before in other Basses I’ve owned and I can’t say enough good things about it. ( it’ll make a squier sound like a $2000 bass, I should know, I had one in my VM squier)
I also like the 1/2 diameter tuners more than the 3/8ths ones in the regular Metros. It just looks more vintage.
So, thanks to Roger n’ his gang in queens for building a bass for the masses. Whoever gets one of these is gonna be very happy. If you’ve put a deposit on one and are waiting, the wait will have been worth it. If you didn’t.....oooooh, grab one if you can. Me thinks these’ll sell out pretty quickly.
There are six MetroExpress basses in tha NYC shop right now.
They won't be there for long! Now five! Ice blue metallic 4 just sold.
