This is not your typical, "Which is better, Sadowsky or Lakland" thread that we see almost every week. It is a question for those of you that play or have played both Sadowskys and Laklands.
I own a Sadowsky MV5 with VTC and Single Coils.
I love this bass. It's warm and delicious all the way around.
I have an Ibanez ATK305 as a back up. (Very different bass)
My problem is that I could definitely use the money that is wrapped up in the Sadowsky right now. I figure it to be worth about $1800...
So the question is:
Would I be completely nuts to sell the Sad and get a Lakland Skyline 55-01 as a main guitar? I don't really make money at playing music and I could REALLY use the $1000+ dollars at the moment.
Besides the obvious long range value and scale length. What are the differences between the two. I play rock/hard rock/pop rock/classic rock.
I have sat with a Lakland 55-01 before and liked the feel of it. Just wondering what some of your thoughts were.
Thanks.
