Sadowsky or Roscoe ?

What do you want your new bass to do?

The Sadowsky is an awesome take on the Fender Jazz. So it's got the jazz bass sound with its own signature zing (or do you mean the Sadowsky Modern?)

The Roscoe is known for a deep, clear, modern sound.

Both have a reputation for being top notch builds. Really different basses though, I think.

Yeah man, Im with you there. Im biased like crazy for Roscoes. I more often than not will recommend them, I just neglect to tell them they have to deal with Gard. ;)

Either way of thinking works IMO; get the Sadowsky because that seems to be like your style judging from your other basses, or get the Roscoe for a whole other flavor thats nothing like what you have. Either way, youre going to have one FINE bass.

As has already been mentioned, they're both excellent choices, but they are TOTALLY different basses. They look different, feel different, sound different, are built differently, and your range of options are totally different. Focus on what you want from an instrument TONALLY. Once you decide what type of tone you're looking for, your issue should be relataively easy to resolve. ;)

You have an MIA Fender Jazz already...you might want to consider putting Sadowsky works in there and see how you like the sound. Also, as you already have a Jazz...and a Precision...and a StingRay...you may do well to have something completely un-Fender like. Sadowsky's are the bomb if you want the ultimate Jazz bass, but a Roscoe will give you a different point of view...

I love my Roscoe. I didn't think it would be possible for me to break away from the StingRay, but it isn't seeing much action these days. The Roscoe is far easier and more comfortable to play, and the tonal possibilities are endless.

Myself, I'd order a bass from Nino before a Sadowsky. Not that his are better, but I was equally impressed with the level of detail in both brands. I've played a couple Roscoes, they play great and have one of the better "Bartolini" tones on the market over the last few years IMO.

I've one more custom bass in my sites... I will never replace my Benaventes but will be adding an other Bee to the crew in the next year or so :bassist:
