Let me say this,I've had some real damn good basses,and I still do own to what I consider to still be damn good basses,but I recently purchase a Ash body/maple/maple 5 string Metro,and the 1st thing what struck me about this bass was how HUGE ! and clean it sounded,I wasn't even looking to buy another bass letalone a Sadowsky.I still do love my Fenders but this thing is incredible enough to were our other bass player at the church got rid of a Ken Smith "Black Tiger 5 string to purchase a Metro MV5,hell I had to threaten him to give me mind back. Guys if you even play a couple nights a week and can afford one of the Metro's or NYC basses,GET ONE !but be forwarned.What you thought was your main bass might not be for long.

So, yeah, in some people's hands these might be the be-all-end-all, but some of the absolutes get my goat a bit. I'm sure the player in question earned whatever he's made from his great playing regardless of what bass was used.

but of course, any producer can manipulate any sounds to bend at their will. and yet, if the source sounds pleez he/she, they'll do what they can to let that voice shine thru. again, on certain tracks, there's a certain plump, weighty, cello like feel from the Sad's preamp that to my ear instantly says, "Sadowsky". besides, after tracking for so long with my basses, its getting easier to point out which is my Sadowsky w/ jazz pups, w/ PJ, my Fodera fretless, my Elrick, etc.

again, i really wanna post up some clips, but i havent been given the ok yet. stay tuned...

of course, and they would prolly gush just as much about their basses. :)

Hey chuck if the ATL is "hot chick central (which you'll get no argument from me !) then Miami South Beach is the ultimate Playboy Bunny Island ! :D
