Seems like a 'standard' NYC Ultra Vintage... meant to cop the passive 60's thing, and be closer to a 'stock' Fender of that era.

I still think Roger needs to come up with a different name than Ultra Vintage for the Metro UV, since that's a TOTALLY different thing... a little confusing.

I spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out what was looking weird in that bass and since I'm in a good mood today I thought that some talkbassers could waste their time too

Come on Roger, tell us the truth. You were going to ship that bass without the string retainer. Mistakes are part of the human nature

if I didn't have another Sadowsky on order I'd buy this bass right now...even without the string tree

I understand that the basses in the website are for sale, and not custom orders, with maybe the exception of the "featured instrument of the month". Anyway, I'd take it without the string tree.
