Even if you can't stand listening to their recorded stuff, which is fair enough, Limp Bizkit always put on a hell of a live show.
Not a fan of PM5K (mainly because I haven't heard much) but Claypool/Primus is sick... The things he can do with a bass... Insane dude.
I just love what Sam does with bass... He's not overly complex, he doesn't do bizarre (think Fieldy's weird clicky clacky tone), he doesn't wank the bass, he just makes slick lines that really drive the songs, they're never overly complex, yet never lazy and boring either. On their more recent stuff, he really pushed the song Gold Cobra over the edge, he's really in your face, but never over the top with it. I myself have a tendency to over cook my bass and become the focus of the song, when 9/10 times bass shouldn't be the focus, dealing it back is just as much of a skill as actually making decent bass lines that stand out, Sam has got that down to a Tee.
