Sam Rivers

I like this guy. He got some cool bass riffs, and probably the most consistent in Limp Bizkit.

I like how he usually pitch-bend stuff like in "Stuck".

and people usually say the riff from "The Truth" is superb.

He always finger though, occasionally use pick live for some songs(Re-Arranged i think).

I did not know about bass much(just start) so i don't whether he counts as a good bassist or not, and also correct me if i'm wrong.

he's got some groove! too bad fred durst sucks a lot of the life and potential out of that band (my opinion, though).

Very solid, groovy player. I think he had some background in jazz, too. IMO he and Wes Borland were the best parts of Limp Bizkit.

I know some people hate Bizkit, just because they are Bizkit and one of the most uncoventional metal band around.

Anyway, i think the guy that is also good is Sam Rivers' cousin who is the drummer, that guy is super groovy.

for me Fred Durst is not that bad, he is a good rapper rhythmically, but not lyricallyand he is an egomaniac.

I really like sam rivers, i think he's really good at filling the role of bass player. not just playin root fifth and not trying to steal the lime light, just supporting the song. wes and john otto are both really good too

no. he is not like fieldy. he is repetitive cause thats the kind of band he's in. im sure if you let wes, john, and sam loose they would create different music.

I think he is like Fieldy. Sound, style and gear wise.

I've seen John and Sam jam at their early show back in 97. They can play.

That's the first thing I thought of.

Yeah I thought he was very melodic and groovey considering the stylistic constraints of the band. John Otto the drummer will have a career in music long after Limp Bizkit is done. Fred... not so much.
