Anyone know much about the new Samick basses
the Corsair CR 1 5 in particular?

My First bass was a Samick Deluxe 5,great bass,the only weak point is in the string spacing,but the sound is just great.

New Samicks are surprisingly good. Ever since they hired Greg Bennett to revamp their guitar and bass line, their stuff has improved quite a bit. I used to have a Fairlane 6-string bass, which was quite nice.

The new ones are pretty good. I've got a pre-Bennet PJ that's even pretty ok. Also, a bit of genuine flame in the neck !
