Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard Fuzz...

It’s cool to see they’re gonna make these again. I remember trying to get in the list years ago and I got some very very bizarre emails back from Sonny haha. Luckily I found one used and I haven’t ditched it since. I agree on the depth charge as well. I have to say that’s my favorite fuzz ever. I’ve yet to find anything similar to the depth charge.

They are pretty sick. Honestly though, not worth what they go for now. When I got mine they were not as hard to find and I scooped it up fornlike $160...now I see them pop up for $300+ which is just getting a little crazy for a fuzz IMO. It sucks when stuff gets discontinued. I’m in the market for a brown dog right now and am facing the same dilemma.

There’s a guy in Australia who makes high quality, exact clones of the Brown Dog for $167 if you’re interested.

I still really love mine. In leave it at my rehearsal place, which is convenient when I rehearse but I'm almost tempted to get another just so I've got one to hand when I record at home or okay with others.

My favourite settings seem to be with the tone bypassed and gain at around 12/1pm

gain all the way off, tone all the way off. you would think it would sound terrible but with a passive bass it sits in a mix really nicely. a low mid grind that has lots of punch.

It was videos that you guys posted that sealed the deal for me. @bassboysam I have a Rick now too so that makes it even more desirable...lol. I'm hoping to have it before I head back to the studio, I want to use it on a particular song....if the producer lets me...

I now use mine in the pre loop of a Bass Tightfzuzz

Yup. Mine has a sweet spot with both just a hair above minimum. I use it in the pre loop of a Bass Tightfuzz essentially as 'channel 2'.
