Sans amp Bass Driver

I have seen the advertisement for Sans amp Bass drive, but cannot get a clear idea of exactly what this box really does. Anyone using it? I play a Music Man Sterling through a Gallien Kreuger amp and speakers and have a crystal clear sound. However, I am looking for a little distortion, you know like the sound of speakers distorting slightly. any recommendations? Please respond>

The BDDI is a great studio DI and good for live if your DI in your GK isn't cuttin it for you. The drive knob is very handy if used well.
