SansAmp RBI to Ampeg SVT3-PRO?

I'd like to replace my pedals with rack mounted effects. I have everything else figured out except the transition from the pedal BDDI v2 to the racked RBI. I currently use the BDDI always on, guitar to BDDI, BDDI to the front input of the amp, and I really like the tone I get this way.

But the RBI has a front input jack and a rear output. If I plug the guitar into the RBI in front, how do I get from the rear output to the SVT3-PRO? Two-foot instrument cable outside the rack case leading from rear to front? Or is there a jack on the rear of the Ampeg that I can use without bypassing the Ampeg's preamp?

Have you tried putting the RBI in the effects loop of the SVT3?

Otherwise, a right angled plug into the front jack of the SVT is your only other option. You can make that as unobtrusive as you’d like.

Careful though, as the RBI's output may be hotter than the BDDI's was, so adjustment may be in order once you get it hooked up.

If you put the RBI into the Ampeg's effects loop, that will make the preamp on the Ampeg go INTO the RBI and back into the power amp of the Ampeg (opposite of what you're doing with the preamps now).

Just treat the RBI like a funny-shaped BDDI and run your signal chain the same way....problem solved

Okay, this is helpful. I'm gonna A/B test each setup and see which I like more.

Not sure if the OP is still monitoring this thred but i have the same setup in a 6u rack. Run the bass into the svt pro and come out from the Preamp out on the svt into input 2 on the RBI. I did not need the -20db pad. Then come out of the "Sansamp" out on the RBI and into the power amp in on the svt pro. It works better then the effects loop. You will need to start off with your gain on the ampeg around noon and the Level on the RBI at around 9am. I was able to bump those up gradually. This left the effects loop on the ampeg open for my DBX. Use the blend on the RBI to get more or less of the ampeg (dry signal) or RBI (Wet). The sound is glorious.
