SANSAMP setup VS MESA Walkabout setup

I have been in downsizing mode and will use either or both of BagEnd SL15D/Avatar SB112 NEO cab setup with either a SANSAMP into a power amp or a Mesa Walkabout head.

Need some feedback on the best option for me

I play rock music or indie type music with a fairly loud drummer. Most places I play will have PA support but I want to be able to do without if I have to. I will probably need 300-400 watts is my guess?? If you thinnk the SANSAMP is the way to go, what poweramps would you recommend?

Is the Walkabout loud enough?

I love the tube tone as I have found out. I think both are great. Any experience out there and thoughts??

I thought that would be the answer. I liked it too but I wonder if there is a big enough difference in tone to justify it's hefty price.

There's a big enough difference and when you consider the cost of a power amp to go with the Sansamp, it's not much of a price difference.

The Mesa Walkabout is the real thing--the Sansamp is an imitation.
