SaturnWorks Sucks???

Does SaturnWorks just suck?

I just bought this trying it out.

The pedal has a HUGE pop only when engaged. But not when disengaged. I'm not sure the problem. I understand a pop because of true bypass switches but this is way more then that. Is there any fix or is it just crap?

Also I can use a recommendation for a new true bypass looper that doesn't pop much. I don't use the blend.

Be careful singling out a pedal maker before giving him a chance to talk to you about it and potentially fix it.

I've worked with Bryan (Saturnworks) a number of times and he's always been super responsive to emails and very helpful. I bought one of his regular bypass loopers and it works great, on par with anyone else for sure. He also built me a custom pedalboard patchbay with TRS ins and outs and made a custom super small 5 channel looper for my guitar player. He actually had to make the latter twice because he messed up drilling the first time. That is to say he stands by his products and I'm sure he'd love to help you with your blender.

Thanks for some insight on the company. I was asking if SaturnWorks Sucks. That's why I was using question marks. I don't know anything about them and I was really wanting to know if they use cheap parts.

Statement with a question mark at end is a question? Contact the company or the retailer you bought it from and give them a chance to fix the problem instead of calling them out over an issue that you don't know enough about electronics to determine if you even have.

FYI I have the same problem with one of my Iron Ether pedals that I have not yet worked out, and Iron Ether definitely does not suck.

I didn't realize that I was doing that. Your right I don't know much about electronics and never wanted to put down SaturnWorks. I just wanted to know more about them. I didn't know if its a cheap switch they may use and if so when I sent it back it wouldn't matter. The cost of them are pretty cheap so Im used to getting what I pay for.

I apologize for wording this thread wrong. Lesson learned. Mods feel free to erase it if its out of line.

I've been talking to Brian at Saturnworks trying to figure out the problem. I sent him the pedal and he found out the pedal pops when the pedals in the loop are off because of his circuit he uses. He told me to only use it with the pedals on because that how it was designed. The only pedal I use in the loop is the zoom ms-60b and you cant turn those off. So Im guessing the buffer output must work like a pedal turned off.

Just letting you guys know what happened with the pedal. In normal circumstance your analog pedals would be left on. I told him to send it back and I'll use it for analog dirt pedals or something but not with my ms-60b. They sound really good and quiet with analog pedals. He has never known this before I sent him the pedal so I guess it was a good thing for him to find out also.

He told me with multiple pedals only one of the pedals have to be on NOT all of them.
