Say Goodbye to Adobe Flash

I'm sorry that I made a typo while typing on my iPhone and that it bothered you. What's the point of bringing it up exactly?

Again you show further evidence that you are unfamiliar with the wildly popular programs that Adobe makes besides flash such as Lightroom, Photoshop and Premier. Most photographers, movie makers and graphic designers utterly rely on these programs in their businesses. Contrary to what you've said Adobe has been absolutely cutting edge on all of these programs. They constantly make proactive changes and improvements when they could just sit around and enjoy their massive market share. Regardless of what happens to Flash Adobe isn't going away thanks to their superior multimedia products and their constant advances and evolution in those areas. Lightroom utterly transformed my photography workflow and I can't wait to see what Adobe comes up with in the next generation.

All of your comments sound like you were unaware of Adobe's line of creative multimedia products which is their real bread and butter. At the very least it is clear that you have little to no experience with them as well as no comprehension of how vital and transformative they are in the creative world.

Your comment that they make one update and that's it is just flat out BS. I receive regular updates of all my Adobe products. Some bug fixes and some significant.

bc

Well not being a movie maker, photographer, etc I wouldn't know about their other programs they make or how they go about updates and support for those programs. The spelling thing was just some sarcasm, not trying to be a douche BTW, but the thread topic was about flash. I know I did comment on them in general, but for me general I'd dealing with all this crap on the internet and it seems everything is flash.

What gets me is they made this stuff and put it out there and they even teach classes on this stuff in college, but they have no plans to develop it more. Its like if anyone makes a product that's widely used because of its "ease" or whatever(never worked with flash, dunno if its easy to work with or not), but then after seemingly every website on the net has flash on it, but with the advent of mobile devices that are not far off from full blown PC's, many are in some cases.

What's it takes for them to assign a team of developers within their company to make an update so mobile users can use most websites. I mean stupid facebook even uses those little flash drop down menu's and such. So many sites do. And when your out and about and trying to get information you are stuck because this flash issue.

Just can't stand things like this. If I was into photography, movie making, etc, I would find an alternative to adobe just because of this. Sooner or later it will be the same for those programs I'm sure.

Think your out with you new piece of digital movie equipment, you have access to wireless, it has on board editing, blah blah blah,(all made by adobe) you happen to capture some big news event like the zombie apocalypse, you try to upload it to the net, but the up loader is flash only and you can't upload your adobe made video using their adobe made up loader. Meanwhile because you can't upload it you can't warn the world that zombies are coming.

Bam world is over because of adobe flash!;)

Flash isn't everywhere. If it was, web sites wouldn't work with iOS devices like iPad etc.

In the early days of YouTube didn't they use Flash? I think YT abandoned Flash several years ago, although there may still be some old videos up there that are Flash encoded.

lets be honest... Flash stopped making money mostly due to a changes in the industry that you guys have pointed out... that's when they decided to cut it.

all the things you guys have mentioned ... cut into the popularity of flash ... thus less devs using it ... then adobe selling less software ... bla bla bla

smart people run that company ... very very smart people
