SBO-2022 30-inch Short Scale Single Cutaway

I've been wanted to make a short-scale single-cut, so I figured what would be a better time tan this? Again, disclaimer, I'm a teacher on summer break, so I have a lot of time on my hands. I worked on this from about 7am until 5:30 pm today, with a few short breaks to take my kids to gymnastics, etc.
My bandsaw absolutely sucks, so I use this highly advanced method of roughly
cutting out the body. Then I use my belt sander to finish the job.
I decided to use a piece of Canarywood to add some highlights. I am just after aesthetics, but a bass-player friend of mine told me that these are called finger ramps? I just read about them, and I don't think my wood is thick enough to qualify as finger ramps?

Yep you’re close enough in height that the Canary wood will function as a finger ramp, looks great.

Lots of neck work today. Still have to radius the fretboard, put on dots, shape the neck, etc,
but had a fun day making sawdust.
Wow, at this rate you’re gonna need 3-4 more projects to enter into the build off 
Or a Dan Armstrong bass.
