Schecter Basses?

I have a 2002 Model T Robert DeLeo sig that I bought new. Won't part with it and I never see ones this old on Ebay. I also have a 2011 Diamond P 4 Custom. Fantastic P bass copy. It out-Pbasses a P bass! I have no experience with any of the other models. Mine have been perfect out of the box and continue to be. Nary a problem.

About the only thing I'd suggest doing with a Schecter (after buying it), is change the strings to whatever you like. They come stock with Slinkys, and to me (just an opinion) they're about as delightful as nails on a chalkboard.

Seriously though. I really recommend them.

here is my Schecter Stilletto Extreme. Active (2 band) Jazz style neck (1.5 nut) a joy to play. Got it online great setup when i got it.

Well, I did it! The music store owner had a very limited inventory, wouldn't order the model I wanted (Studio 5) even though I was going to add cash to make up the difference. Long story short I took a hosing on the deal, but I did take home a Schecter Custom 5 he had on the wall. Played it all weekend, and boy it grew on me! Superb neck, very comfortable to play, nice articulate B string with the. 35" scale. Only thing, the factory strings have to go, probably replace w/ compression wounds to mellow the tone. I gotta say, I'm impressed with this guitar and I'm a happy Schecter owner! Thanks to all for your guidance and opinions.

I owned an original Schecter 4 fretless bolt on neck bass for many years and after some modifications, it turned out to be a fine instrument although it was very heavy. Schecter basses back then were made in America.

Congrats on your new bass!

Congrats on the bass, I have a diamond series and love it. Real quality instrument. Going by what you wrote, I would never deal with that music store again. Hosing is not a good way to build a customer base. And not ordering what you want would be the nail in the coffin for me. I have a friend who has a music store that deals with Shechter and from what I've seen, they're very easy to deal with. With the deals you can get online, a brick and mortar store needs to have outstanding customer service. Sounds like this guy doesn't know the meaning of it.

that's a nice looking bass you got there. I own that bass too and a 5-string version of that bass in the same color. I really love that black cherry finish. It's such a nice color. Not to mention how awesome it looks and sounds. These basses are real keepers for me. Schecter makes awesome bass guitars.
