Schecter Model T, really worth it?

I do want to clarify one thing with regard to the pickups.
The pickups are ACTUAL Basslines, NOT "Duncan-designed" like on the Squier VM series.
The SJB-2 and SPB-2 are listed on bestbassgear.com under Duncan Basslines models.

I have a Quarter Pounder P and an SMB-4A (MM style) in another bass and I LOVE Duncans!
I'll let you know how these sound as soon as I get to play it!

Finally picked it up today! But had zero chance to play it yet. :(
I just had time to get it out of the box and into a gigbag and bring it home.

In the very few minutes I had it, my first couple of impressions:

lighter than I expected it to be. Probably not more than 9 lbs.
No noticeable flaws with the neck/frets
pretty resonant just plucking it acoustically

they also shipped the bass with an extra instrument cable. Nothing outstanding but hey, its a freebie!

on the downside, I was MAJORLY disappointed by the lack of protective packaging.
It was packed in a single, wedge-shaped box that doesnt seem at all proper for shipping. There were a few foam blocks inside the box but the cardboard wasnt very sturdy-it would've been REAL easy for the bass to take a serious hit during shipping. Fortunately, it didnt but the packaging was terrible.
The last bass I got from Amazon was doubleboxed. the same wedge shaped box inside a fullsized outer box. Seemed a lot more secure when it got to me.

Oh yeah, it WAS sold directly through Amazon. Thats the only company name on the invoice.

Well, Sadly, it appears the bass might have taken some kind of "hit". When I was inspecting it at home last night, I noticed there is some sort of indentation just above the E bridge saddle. The light has to be at a proper angle to see it but its definitely there. The box didnt have any visible damage so its possible it came this way from the factory (which would probably mean it was B stock).

Its probably close to an inch long and maybe 1/4" wide. it almost looks like something heavy was pressed up against the bass at some time.

As soon as I have a few minutes, I'm going to take some pics and put up a "NBD" post.
