Got the Omen Extreme 5 Heritage Burst today, will take pics, have no fear.
Nice sound with the EB slinkys it came with, but I very much don't get on with rounds. Will go flats soon. I also did have some problems with quick alternating finger eighth notes due to the close string spacing. My fingers would bounce off the next string down and make ghost notes. I feel like that is just a needs-practice thing though. Basically, it feels a lot like a Yamaha TRBX, but nicer.
Looks-wise it's very nice. There's a spot on the balance knob where it feels like it's rubbing--I'll raise the knob a touch to see if that fixes it. Weird that the front knob is balance and the top knob is master volume. Could not find any other flaws. I really like the edge binding. Nice flame on the top. Appears to be a one piece mahogany board for the back. Battery WAS included. Bass and treble knobs felt more like bass and mids, which I think I like. They work fine.
I was worried whether it'd fit in any of my gig bags, but it easily fit in a Fender FB1225 I had kicking around.
I was also scared because FedEx listed the package shipping weight as 30.1 lb. Ugh. Luckily, that had no basis in reality. Haven't weighed it yet, but feels like around 9 lb. Packing was (in to out) thin foam bag, wedge shaped box with lid and Styrofoam blocks glued around the sides. That was inside a rectangular box with some craft paper wadding to hold the inner box in place.
Oh. almost forgot--the case candy included a bunch of different Schecter 50th Anniversary stickers, a couple 50th picks, and a 50th key fob. And wrenches.
