Schecter Owners Club, part 3

Well I had a chance to my Diamond P 5 with a guitarist and drummer last night at a small jam. I have to say I was very impressed with how this bass really cut through the mix, but still had that Pbass thump. The controls are very sensitive, and it took me a few minutes to get the right combo. Pretty much half way on the tone, and 3/4 on the neck pup. Then I would adjust the bridge pup for the right amount of sizzle.

Next will be a live gig, but that won't be until October. So far I'm very impressed.

Here are a couple of pictures of my new Schecter C-5 Custom. This is the new model with the EMG pickups. I decided to replace my Ibanez BTB with something that had a slimmer neck. These weren't in the stores yet, so I took a chance when I ordered it from my local Schecter dealer. Now that I have it, I'm thrilled with the feel and sound of this bass. It has a much smoother tone that the BTB and the neck profile is exactly what I was looking for.

The pictures on the Schecter site don't do justice to the Transparent Red color. The real color is not as bright as their pictures show.
