How does that work. Are the push/Pull pot not the standards with a DPDT switch ?

I m actually not sure what happens maybe it’s not Tone I think it’s regular and maybe out of phase not sure what the pick up is doing it is louder pushed in and not as loud pulled out so not tone .. but both are volume to each pick up

If you can't figure out exactly how they wired it, I can more than likely tell if I could see some decent photos of the pots/switches. I am a U.S. Navy trained Electronics Tech..

I can't see enough from the 1 photo. I'd need a couple different angles to be able to see the switch connections better and a photo of the cavity where the pickup wires come into the cavity. I don't see any capacitors, do you ?

Oh no problem .. the pick ups appear to be the Monstertone pick ups all original.. wish I could find a tuner ughhh!!! Bought the drop tuner but would like to have all original as well

Yep, I believe you are correct on those being original MaonsterTones. There's been at least 3 maybe 4 variations on the MonsterTone's.

I'm quite confident the P is wired Series down and Parallel up, or vise versa.

I believe the J is wired coil Tap. The older Monstertone J's had 2 coils and the switch selects 1 or both coils.
It could also be switching the phase but, my guess would be Coil Tap.
I'd have to draw it all out in Schematic form to know for certain.

I'd just experiment with them and use what you like.

Pretty versatile wiring scheme as long as you don't mind the missing Tone control.

Well waiting for the drop D tuner and then to play it through my Mesa Rig.. can’t wait . The sustain and tone acoustically is incredible.. great quarter sawn neck one piece of maple .. thanks for checking out the wiring ..

I'm excited for you. Everything I've heard about Schecter USA Instrument is impressive. That looks like a beautiful example to me.
I've been impressed with my Asian made Schecter's. Excellent Craftsmanship.

Keep us updated on your impressions when you get her tuned up and plugged in.

Depending on what kind of music you play and what you are trying to get out of the bass, the best bang for buck would be to change the pickups. I'm fairly certain the Diamond pickups are passive with an active eq system. This gives you a whole bunch of soapbar options.

I play a little bit of everything. Pickups are what I was thinking too, but I thought I would check with the collective wisdom.

I just got the same one! Interesting, I notice both your pups have "emghz" on them. Only my neck pup has emghz, the bridge pup only has emg. I wonder what that's about. Mine is a studio as well
