Just found this site......looking forward to checking out all the forums. Please hook me up with a number for my two Schecter basses.......blond Model T w' EMG p/u's and California Custom quilted cherryburst Jazz. I've had then for about 6 years now, both are excellent pieces and sound and play great. I like them so much I rarely play my original 65 P-Bass much anymore. I'll try to get some pics up for you to see them soon.....Thanks, SC

I'll take a number. I've had this bass for about 6-7 years, just decided to start learning and playing now. It's a black on black '02 C-4. Bought myself an Acoustic B20 for inspiration. I'd like to get some Black Beauties for the triple black look.

has any one in the schecter owners club ever seen a "j-5"? i have what i believe to be a j-5 built around 2002. looks almost exactly like the j-4, but with in a five string. have never seen another like it and can't find any info on it.

Quick question for the Schecter guys out there -

I'm looking to tune my Stiletto Elite-5 "up" to Drop-C (CGCFBb).
Has anyone had any problems with their Stilettos being unable to hold the tension? I realize this is a pretty sturdy bass with neck-thru and string-thru, but I'd hate to bend my baby with this tuning. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 5 year old Elite-4 (pics above) and currently have it tuned to Drop C. It has been there ever since I bought it used, and it's the tuning I play in my metal band. With that being said, I recomend getting DR Drop Down Tuning bass strings for your Elite. It makes the tone less "muddy". I don't think you should have a problem with it as mine has not had one. Hope this helps.
