I'm not after a number, but I thought I'd share these with the club. These are Monstertone Jazz pickups from a 1996 Schecter Jazz. Been looking for a set for about 2 years, and a nice chap on here sent me these after they've been sitting on his shelf for 14 years!

I'm yet to use them in anger, but they'll be going into some kind of Warmoth/'Fender Jazz this year hopefully!

My Schecter JD Deservio Blutcher. Debating between a Stiletto Studio 5 or a Stargazer 4 next. May I have a number?

Hi Folks:

I'm relatively new to bass playing, and just purchased a Raiden Elite 5 from Guitar Center. I can't find much on these guitars, wondering if you all had any feedback. I was playing a Washburn AB20, which I bought used purely on looks. It's a classy bass, but is not much fun to play.

My son just got a Schecter Hellraiser FR for Christmas, and I was really impressed with it. I decided I "needed" a 5 string for some of the heavier drop tune songs that the two of us like and so I thought I'd check out their basses.

I tried every 5 string GC had, in the sub $600 range, in the store, and even though I'm limited in experience, I really liked the Raiden. The sound was nice and clean, and I found the neck very comfortable. They only had the Raiden "Special" in stock, so I had to order the Elite (I wanted the through string rigging, and eq options). I had a coupon for $100 off which got me to $499, which was about the best deal I could find on a new unit with a warranty.

They also had a NC2005 "Special" 5 used, that looks like the Stiletto, kind of an light maple orangish finish. It played nice, but was a bit heavy for my liking. Does anyone know anything about this model? I could not find ANYTHING on the internet related to that model.

Anyone else have a Raiden Elite that could share their experiences?

I'll post a pic once this puppy arrives.

Cheers!

Is yours a fretless like the one in the picture?
No, it's not. That's a fret-less in the picture??? Who'd a thunk it?:hmm:

EDIT::: --- Yes, I see now. That was not the picture I was trying to reference. I have fixed it now. --- ::: EDIT

The local GC just got it in used and I just happened to be there. It had a faulty jack that they are replacing for me. Hope I get it back in time for my next gig.:hyper:
