tazthewonderdog said:Sick! What's your band? I saw Doom live in July. So good in concert.

We're called The Blood Of Royals, small time local band haha
tazthewonderdog said:That's what some of the best bands are, man.
Thanks man. Not many people look at it that way.
tazthewonderdog said:Believe me, I download as many indie metal samplers as I can, and I listen to those unsigned local bands. A lot of them suck. Some are awesome... I checked you guys out, and you're really decent. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot man! Even with the crappie recordings you like it means a lot. The music has definitely gotten a lot better since then. Just gotta get some new recordings up
tazthewonderdog said:I might be able to help you...
I have a Blue Snowball microphone. They're about $100 new, and they sound great. I've used them to mic guitar, bass, and vocals, and all sound awesome. Set the mic to the -10dB amp micing setting, then just set it in front of your amp, then just run them into your computer via the attached USB cord, get it into Audacity (which is a freeware program that runs on any Windows, Mac, or linux computer), add compression... and BAM! Finished EP-quality recordings for nothing but the cost of a mic... $100. Save money, I mean... it wouldn't pay to get studio quality tracks done, would it?
That's how I record stuff.
Anyway, just trying to help!
I actually have audacity, only issue is recording drums. I have a way of just using the amps to a computer. I have a turtle beach headset, used for gaming, but it's super touchy, might work. Have any recordings I could hear that you've done with this method?
tazthewonderdog said:I don't, sorry. I could throw a bass cover on youtube, but I have no cab for my amp. As soon as I get one, I'll record something and set it to you.
