Schecter Quality Control

If you are handy with a soldering iron, replacement potentiometers are pretty dang cheap, and that may also solve your hum issue. You can order spares directly from EMG, or any other parts resource. (You do have EMG's, don't you?) The tuner is easy enough to replace. There may be a tension screw on the end of that tuner that may need a bit of adjusting. Check for it. Point is, the cost of those parts may be far less than international shipping.

I do have EMGs, I'm not that good with electronics though.

Yeah sure, some people buy Japanese cars, and some people buy American.

The difference is that American cars run for 100k, and then after that they start to die, blown headgaskets, etc.

Japanese cars run forever.

Fenders are awesome, but just because they've been around longer doesn't mean they're better obviously, I think this statement is really close-minded of you. What's wrong with something from a newer company? Google is newer than Yahoo, does that mean the Yahoo search engine is better?

The equipment a band member uses should have nothing to do with your opinion on the quality of the band, once again, don't be so close-minded.:rollno:

I actually did play some Fenders and Gretschs, and frankly I just didn't like the feel of them as much as I did the Schecters that I tried and guess what I ended up buying? Another thing that may surprise you is that I don't play nu-metal either, most of what I write is just plain old rock and most of the stuff that I play for fun is prog. Imagine that.

You know what! Thats not necessarily true!! I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 6cyl. My wife and I bought it used in 1997 with 47k miles on it. It now has 272,000 on it!!!! And its only every needed normal wear and tear items. Brakes, 1 water pump, 1 alternator, 1 catalytic converter and 1 exhaust manifold. And you know what??? It still runs as good as the day we bought it in 1997!!! Worked for a Limo company that had a Lincoln Towncar with 500k mi on it!! All they ever did was normal servicing!

My buddy's a former co-workers Toyota blew the head gaskets 4 times!! and my neighbors Honda S2000 need the cylinder liners replace 1 year after he bought it!

My American car seems to be running forever!

So - not true.
