Double Bass Schertler Dyn B

Hi all. I've a couple of questions about jazz double bass amplification by Schertler Dyn-B.

Has anyone compared the old Schertler Dyn-B and the new Dyn-B-P48 ? Is there any difference in sound?
Has anyone used the Dyn B with a SR Technology combo? I'd like to know your opinions about SR 300BB, SR Jam 150, SR Jam 400, SR Bass Fidelity 10.

Personally, I would not do it..

Notice that in all videos everybody plays only solo! you can't find a group or band playing with it. think about that!




I think you are better off with the Stat-B.. but it's your choice.

I'm just saying You get Feedback and the "twang" or twanky sound is still there with the putty contact mic.. (because depending on the location you put it on your bass..)

but somehow, I'm sure some people got a good sound out of it..

My vote for you is keep looking and only Try the dyn-B if you can.. do not just buy it.. Try it..

Yes, I've considered the feedback problems of the Dyn-B.
I won't get rid of my piezo, of course.

Actually I tried an old Dyn-B at home comparing it with a microphone (an old AKG C419).
Both work fine in recording but not when connected to my old Gallien Kreuger MB150.

So I'd like to know some opinions about using Dyn-B and SR Combos.
