School dress code

I don't remember my hs picking out specific style of clothing in the rules and just used a blanketing terms. Generally speaking though, obviously things like tube tops, mini skirts, low-hanging pants not being allowed is understandable.

I personally don't care for skinny jeans, but it does worry me when girls tell me a guy's skinny jeans feel tighter than their own. I have trouble finding comfortable jeans as it is (anyone who works out their legs can tell you, T-rex butt sucks); if pants get skinnier and tighter like current trend suggests, I'm in trouble.

Just for basic education purpose...Most skinny jeans, just like girls jeans, are stretchy in a way. They have a bit of elasticity to them. That being said, I am far more mobile in these than my old jeans.

You guys aren't getting the extremity of the holes in pants thing. I was getting looks from a superintendent yesterday because the pair of pants I had on (NOT SKINNY JEANS) had a hole the size of a quarter from where my bass rubs against my phone. I don't mind the no yoga pants thing seeing as almost all of the girls wearing them cannot and never will look good in them. Pencil skirts that are below finger tip length don't bug me. They look respectable (not slutty) on those that have a form that allows such attire.

If these new rules were just addressing the freshmen girls that looked like they are getting ready for their shift on the corner, I would be totally cool with it. but they are pulling in every girl that is wearing skinny jeans. Seems kinda stupid to me.

Mine aren't painted on, so I don't know if they're what you guys are thinking of when people say skinny. That being said, I don't like when anybody forces me to lose my individuality. I understand things being worn of sexual nature, skirts too short, slutty tube tops, or offensive clothes with foul language, but if the kid is fully covered, it should not matter.

Lmao. There's nothing funnier than a dude defending his individuality by virtue of a defense of his skinny jeans. Are boxers an accessory that you coordinate too?

1. Clothes do not, contrary to popular belief, define one or one's 'individuality'.
1. A: What the hell does 'individuality' really mean in context, anyway? Isn't it something we all have, to a greater or lesser extent, and therefore isn't it something that ought not require definition/exposition/display? If I have it, and you have it, and we both know it, then what do you stand to gain by telling me again that you have it?

2. The school administrators make the rules. If you don't like 'em, join millions of others who've taken a stand against the education system by DROPPING OUT.
2. A: What's up with this Facebook thing? Facebook riots? Seriously? Whatever happened to pen-and-paper petitions, bricks through windows, refusing en masse to enter or exit the school, dry ice in the toilets, metallic sodium in the drinking fountains? Get a life.

3. The point of school is to LEARN. It is NOT to socialize, court, breed, display your 'individuality' or whatever the kids may these days be doing. Making friends and having fun in so doing is INCIDENTAL. Therefore, any distractions - such as, for example, dressing to excess - can and should be removed, to facilitate a better LEARNING environment.

Lol, individuality. Every kid is wearing them now. thats not very individualistic.

If the school can't be allowed to control the environment of the school, they can't (and shouldn't) be held responsible for the output.

It's not like they're saying, "don't dress like an asshat ever", they're just saying, "don't dress like that on my time".

You know these guys that wear their pants hanging below their butt so their boxers show and they walk around holding them up?..
That started in prisons with the guys that "swung that way" to advertise they were "available and willing"... if ya know what I mean:eyebrow:
So if your one those guys that sag your pants... we know what your telling us ...
