School/sell us on your favorite piezo buffer/preamp setup

Not sure if I am flogging a dead horse (or dead thread) but just in case there is still interest, I just finished installing a GraphTech Ghost Saddle-loaded Hipshot bridge and a GraphTech Acousti-Phonic preamp in an older Carvin LB 75 five string fretless. I use a DarkGlass Tone Capsule for the mag pickups. The sound is out of this world, no clack. I am willing to answer any questions.

I don't have any good way of making even a half-decent recording. The only thing I have is a tiny Line 6 BackTrack which is good for monitoring rehearsals for mistakes, but I'd be too afraid to post the low-fi recordings off of it. Sorry...

Has anyone ever tried replacing the Ibanez stock 3EMPPR6 preamp in the AeroSilk piezo system with a Richter PPX?
