Scott Pilgrim Plot Flaw

Easily one of my favorite movies of all time. But let's face it, Scott isn't the best bassist around :p. The guy smashed the crap out of that Rick' without a second thought and duck taped that sucker back together! Besides that this is the solo that Todd plays in the Scott Pilgrim video game:

I'd say Scott lost that battle the easy way :smug:

Jeesh I can't believe how much the setting of this movie reminds me of my own youth.

- I'm a Canadian who lived in Toronto for ~10 years from about 20 to 30 years old (basically through the 90s).

- Played in a rock band with a bit of a punk influence at that time

- With a Rickenbacker 4001 "burst" (Mine was AutumnGlo & Fretless not Fireglo)

- Played way too much Zelda and other video games

Didn't live with a gay guy though...

Hell, even the artists in the soundtrack are among my favorites (Metric, Broken Social Scene, etc)

I figure I have to get the movie poster for my jam room.

On the DVD special features, in the "Deleted/extended scenes" Just before Scott's bass blows up, the evil Ex says "That's right, Scott. *I* actually know how to play the bass."

I thought it would have been better with that line left in..

Yeah I agree. Actually that's a line straight from the comic book. But in the comic book they make it a little more clear that Pilgrim really can't play the bass whereas the Vegan is supposed to be quite good. As someone else pointed out, Scott doesn't even own the bass he's just borrowing the thing (indefinately) from his brother.
