Scratchy pots

I was being sarcastic. I don't get how someone can spend a heap on a bass then not want to spend a little on maintenance.

It's a $400 Ibanez that I'm gonna sell. I'm trying to get it ready to sell so I'm doing some maintenance on it. Less money spent on maintenance, more profit, you know how that works.

In that case, contact cleaner (or WD40 which is what we get in the UK) is absolutely your best option.

Just give the pots a good work out. That will usually do the trick. The great part is it's free and if it dosn't work you can always buy some Radio Shack cleaner then.

Do not under any circumstances use WD40. It attacts dust and will make the problem worse. If you look, you'll have no problem getting contact cleaner in the UK.
