Seems like there is a lot of love for sea foam green instruments.
What's the appeal? Did Famous Guy have such an instrument?
Do players secretly wish for mint ice cream?
Are they to match the bride's maids' dresses ?
Was it the color of tomorrow from some retro era ?

i have one (i think it's sea foam, or maybe it's surf green, IDK). it plays great, so i'm gonna keep it despite the color:



but, hey, there are worse things, right?!


edit: i went with this color because at that moment, i was just trying to fit in.

Most of the early Fender colors were automotive colors. Seafoam had a spell of popularity on cars at just the right time to make the Fender list.

I'm not a fan. I'm more of a sonic blue kinda guy.

I like most all the early Fender automotive colors. I think its a nostalgic thing. I also liked those colors when they were on the cars of the period.

I don't get it.

I have a N series (90’s) AM Standard Strat with thar series sea foam green. This particular version of sea foam green is a lighter shade than most, and has a slight bit of metal flake. From what I understand, this was a limited run, but the only reason I bought it was because the store didn’t have one in sunburst.

I like sea-foam green. Why you don’t, I don’t get it. Doesn’t matter. If you want, I can dig up the book about the science behind colors and how they effect humans. It’s a thing.

It’s a color. Some people love it, some people don’t. Guess you’re one that don’t. What’s there to get or not get?
