Sea Foam Green?

I have an opinion, and only by posting it on the internet will it become a real boy.

Seems like there is a lot of love for sea foam green instruments.
What's the appeal? Did Famous Guy have such an instrument?
Do players secretly wish for mint ice cream?
Are they to match the bride's maids' dresses ?
Was it the color of tomorrow from some retro era ?

I don't get it.
No worries, mambo! Different people like different stuff! And that is a very good thing!

Imagine for a moment what it would be like if everyone liked the same thing. Same bass (in the same color), same amp, same car, same house, same food preferences, same clothing, same hairstyle, same music preferences, etc., etc. That would be a freakish science fiction world that I would not want to live in. So when I encounter someone who likes something other than what I like (which thankfully happens all the time), I breathe a big sigh of relief because it means I don't live in that horrid twilight zone world. That is why differences are wonderful and is what makes life on this planet fun and interesting. That's why I always encourage people to pursue what makes them happy. And if their choice or preference happens to be something that I wouldn't choose for myself, that's even better! Keep that variety going, please!

🤣 i'm not sure i do either, mambo, but can't we just have a little fun?!! 😂

i have one (i think it's sea foam, or maybe it's surf green, IDK). it plays great, so i'm gonna keep it despite the color:

but, hey, there are worse things, right?!

edit: i went with this color because at that moment, i was just trying to fit in. :wideyed: :rollno:
Yours definitely looks like Seafoam Green. Surf Green is a bit lighter. More subdued (and pastel-like) if you will. In this pic, the Fender color is called Seafoam Pearl. It's slightly lighter than regular Seafoam Green, but not as light as Surf Green. I personally prefer Surf Green, but Seafoam can look pretty cool as well.

At least today it fits vibe of a Surf band or Indie band going for a surf vibe/beach town theme.

I think it is nice and fits those vibes -however I would go with pearl when I can. Sea Foam though is always high on the list of colors I like.

What don’t you get, exactly?
It's just nowhere near my personal preference, and always struck me as an unusual choice.
The classic retro color appeal makes the most sense

Seems like an odd struggle in life…
No struggle here, just curiosity.
I grasp personal preferences.
Hope nobody took it badly.

Just like food. Some people like things other people don’t.

It’s a color. Some people love it, some people don’t. Guess you’re one that don’t. What’s there to get or not get?

Seems like an odd struggle in life…

I have many of them. And also other colors. Get over it. I just don't understand this I guess.

Playing bass is fun.

Sea foam green is a fun color.

Think less, play more, have fun.
I'd bet that the "get over it" guys openly and loudly detest tortoise shell pickguards...:smug:
