Lots of fresh sounds for the Artifakt in the Neuro Community, having a good time auditioning sounds and saving a few for mice-elf.

Something is not right when using USC C direct to USB C. If you go USB-C to USB-A and then back to USB-C with an adapter, this works. We are investigating.I finally got to sit down with my Artifakt!I am waiting to download and install Neuro 3 on my laptop until all the bugs are taken care of. So I connected it to my Android phone with Neuro 3 and opened the pedal with the little emblem saying "connected" in the lower right. When I load a preset from the cloud, nothing happens. When I turn a dial in the app, nothing happens. When I go to the cogwheel for the settings, nothing comes up for hardware options. Am I missing something? I'm wondering if I should do a firmware update, but does that work through the phone app?
That's what I'm using. I put an adapter on the cable that came with the pedal. I will try another adapter when I am back from work.Something is not right when using USC C direct to USB C. If you go USB-C to USB-A and then back to USB-C with an adapter, this works. We are investigating.
It looks like a hardware problem on Artifakt's USB implementation. I will publish something soon once we investigate further. You should be able to get this to work. Something about the order you plug things in. @Gibs210?That's what I'm using. I put an adapter on the cable that came with the pedal. I will try another adapter when I am back from work.
Interesting. Sounds like this might be similar/related to what I experienced over in the Neuro App thread? I have faith you guys can figure it out.It looks like a hardware problem on Artifakt's USB implementation. I will publish something soon once we investigate further. Meeting with Mike Gordon......and taking in a showInteresting. Sounds like this might be similar/related to what I experienced over in the Neuro App thread? I have faith you guys can figure it out.
It sounds like you guys are working almost around the clock to squash all these little bugs... Thanks for this amazing new pedal and all the hard work! But remember that it's "just a pedal" and you guys are human too. Take a break for a Coke and a Smile on occasion, eh? ha ha

Heck yeah!Meeting with Mike Gordon......and taking in a show![]()
Thank you so much for looking into it! I tried another cable and it didn't work. I did not play around with the order of things, though I do remember that sometimes it didn't show as connected to I shut down the app and restarted it and it did the trick. OK, I know what it is. USB-C to USB-C connections don't work correctly. There is a work around. USB-C from the pedal to USB-A (the cable that is supplied) and then a USB-A to USB-C adapter. We are going to get a supply of them and will ship them out to whomever needs one. Here is the key point. The LAST connection to be made is inserting the A into the C. If this is not done last, then it will not work. Jesse made a tiny mistake in the hardware design and we did not catch it until now. At least there is a decent workaround. Sorry about that!Thank you so much for looking into it! I tried another cable and it didn't work. I ended up downloading the mac desktop version and it works like a charm! There was an initial weird thing where I made a compressor patch with the vary knob being assigned to the compressor speed. After dialing up the speed the on/off relay went crazy and went back and forth. If you want a video of it, I can send it to you. Anyways, I tossed that preset and started fresh. What a pedal you made! It's incredible!! I'm so excited and happy!! There's SO much ground covered by the pedal that I have yet to explore!!
I personally don't think it's a big issue.OK, I know what it is. USB-C to USB-C connections don't work correctly. There is a work around. It also affects USB-C on the pedal to USB-C on a computer. Most computers have USB-A, so that is the simple work around, otherwise the adapter works. Let me know if you need an adapter!I personally don't think it's a big issue.
Is this only affecting pedal to phone connection or also pedal to computer?

Is an “engine” in source audio architecture like a ‘algorithm’ in eventide architecture - in that it’s a set set of sounds, or is it a preset and the set of controls to control it?@rsmith601 or @Gibs210
How can we select an Engine from Neuro? Is it only on the pedal?
How do we save changes or replace a sound to an Engine in Neuro?
Are there factory Engine settings saved in Neuro?
I noticed when sampling sounds from Neuro the name would show in the space above Common controls, I really like this and would love to see it implemented for all sounds. Yes I'm aware that this would be a challenge but it would be most useful.
From the manual:Is an “engine” in source audio architecture like a ‘algorithm’ in eventide architecture - in that it’s a set set of sounds, or is it a preset and the set of controls to control it?
I’m really wanting to hear a bass demo video- my guess is that for bass use I would overwrite some of the engines to make them more what I would use - in my head the artifakt for bass isn’t as much a low fi pedal but an end of chain sounds while the c4 is at the start of chainMy take is these are effect groupings that are good starting places to explore the sound possibilities as well as a starting place for creating some types of sounds. There is a card and page ion the manual that covers what function each of the controls will do depending on the chose Engine or Factory preset.
We agree. We think we have a work around long term that is better than the USB-A adapter. This was not by design!!Not in the game for this pedal, just wanted to peak in and see what SA was cookin. Just wanted to share that I was ready for any type of USB besides C to be dead like 5 years ago. USB C should be the only USB.
