I want no other guitars or bass’s than the 4 string BTB’s. Sadly they weren’t produced very long with limited models but I won’t rest until I have them all. I own several now but am looking to see if anyone has advice on hunting down these rarity’s.

Just keep your eyes open. I have two, one of which was in absolutely mint condition when I bought it last year, the other was a bit beat up and had fried electronics. I’m finishing up the electronics install on that, hopefully, tomorrow.
And yes, I will compete with you (a little bit) to get a couple more.

I personally think this price is utterly ridiculous... and I had the black 5 string for years and really liked it.

A red BTB400QM and a blue of the same. Blue one is the trashed electronics. It’s getting two Nordstrand “Dingstrand Nordwall” pickups, a Dingwall 2x pickup selector switch, and a Darkglass Tone Capsule. Also got a Hipshot Xtender on the E string.
Geez, I paid 400 for that same exact model, mint condition, last year.

I seen that and have scratched off that specific listing. Way over priced. Well the one I really like is my 08 470 ipt. I really want the 08 570fmnf. Built a lot alike, I just enjoy the feel of the thru neck BTB. Green model of the 08/09 would be ILLL too.

I owned a BTB780PB. Beautiful 4 stringer. But I sold it as a flip to make some money towards another bass. Anyway... I wish Ibanez would start making them again. You would think there is enough demand that they would sell. In the meantime, you could look at the 5 string models where the first string is a C (above G) instead of the fifth string being the traditional B (below E). I don't remember the model number(s) but they are out there.

Wired it up today. Still needs new strings and a full setup, and it’d be nice to get it cleaned up and scratches buffed out.
