Seattle GTG Bass Day 2012

What a fun time. It was really cool to meet and greet everybody. Lot's of cool gear (the non-reverse 8 string t-bird that TBird1958 brought was truly amazing) and even cooler people to show them off made for a great afternoon. Tasty beers just were a nice capper.

Hope to see you all next year.

Bones

It was good to meet all of you guys. It was very cool trying out a few different heads through my cabs.

My Signal Blue preamp looked pretty bitchin' sitting on top of your Competition Orange cabs...;)

I really appreciated hearing that, and also enjoyed plugging it into Spencer's Sadowsky amp's power section.

That pre sounded amazing as well Charlie. Will there ever be a production version?

Well, I have something like 59 other tube preamp designs modeled in software already, so selling something someday might be good! :p

Whatever I build next will be two rack spaces instead of three -- unless I just do an integrated tube bass head similar in format to Spencer's SA200, which would be a pretty fun DIY project.

As always, a great time meeting new people and seeing old aquaintances :)
I really enjoyed Passinwind's EUB and Nightwulf's Gretsch :) Alembicbones Alembic was simply stunning.

Thanks, Mike!

Ya know...if you ever need some high-volume rock club testing.....

Unfortunate news: My buddy closed down The Shipwreck. So for future events we'll have to find a new location.

That does suck. They had some good beer there, and it seemed like a cool place........I might know a place out in North Bend that would work for a GTG when the time comes..........Small jazz club that doen't open for dinner until 4PM. Let me know when the time comes.

Potential venue down here in the Hood River area. Recording sudio with a performance space, large stage. Rates are reasonable. No volume worries in this one. Would be on a BYO basis as far as the beer goes. Not sure how good the load in/out will be. I'll investigate...
