Seattle hang out?

I'm an idiot...

On Friday I cleared my Sunday schedule so I could attend. Sunday rolls around and I proceed to have the laziest day in history. The whole day I was thinking "I'm bored. I wish there was something to do."

Glad everyone had fun, and I wish I would have been smart enough to remember this was going on.

Dude ! Have you been aiming that 410 Schroeder at your head ? That thing will turn your brain to cottage cheese ... Point at the darned drummer! :D

Sorry you missed us. I hope life is good up in Seattle. Gotta be a better musical scene that the Tri Cities I would guess.

I had a great time talking and hanging with all the folks there. There are some really great players in this area and the amount of gear there was nearly overwhelming! Charlie's Crescent Moon fretless turned out to be a real treat. Now if I could sell some organs or something....

And further thanks to Jerry for bringing up some truly incredible instruments.

I'll post pics later when I get home from work.

Was it the 4 string or the 5?

Jerry's is a beautiful lined fretless 4'er with what looks to be a koa top. At one of the Portland GTGs someone from up your way brought in a gorgeous fretless 5'er too:

amen to that - there truly are very few instruments that hit me that way. Not Eric's Drozdy, not the Ritter, if Charlie's Crecent Moon had training wheels it probably would - silky smooth like buttah as he says ... - but your RA ... yowza -that one just sends me baby! Those others are merely fabulous, the RA is near transcendant and that is a 34" scale I believe.

One day I will mortgage the cat and nail one of those down.

Wish I could have been there, but my daughter has been worse recently, and I've been asking my wife to watch her a lot lately as I'm gigging nearly every weekend.

I sure would love to have heard that envelope filter.

OTOH, it's a good thing I didn't get to try the Wal again. I nearly succumbed to GAS the last time one popped up, and I don't need that kind of temptation.

I really should have tried that RA. It sounded sweet in the hands of the other players there and I think I would have really enjoyed it.

Then again, Charlie's Crescent Moon just put me over the edge. Now I can hardly even sleep at night due to GAS pains.:crying:

Hmmmmm.... Maybe this was the cause all along. Don't get me wrong, I'm still glad I bought it from you, but.... ummmm.... but..... What was I talking about? :p

Life is good in Seattle. Infinitely better for me than living in the Tri-Cities.

Here are some photos.

Let me see if I can put names to faces: I apologize but I don't recall the first gentleman's name, the second one crouching is Eric, I believe that's Rene looking at Greg's Starfire, then there is Greg and then of course is Mal.

And here we have Spencer and Greg in the back and Mike checking out the G&L.

Here is Scott, on the right, who was gracious enough to bring his Bergantino NV215 and Shuttle for me to try. Very nice! I apologize that I didn't get a chance to talk with the gentleman in the center. And of course that is Mike checking out that beautiful blue F Bass.

Now I feel really bad as I spoke with both of these really great guys, talking to Mike and I can't remember their names to save my life. I apologize.

I have more photos that I can post but this is enough for now.

I wish I could have made this, but it wasn't in the cards this time. Definitely next time ..

And did someone say there was a Wal bass there? I could kick myself for missing that. It is one of the basses that I have an interest in that Ijust have not been to track down to try. Sounds like I missed a great opportunity to try a bass, and to connect with some local players ..

Next time ...

That would be Brad! and based on that pic, I seriously need to be working on the waistline and posture... Yikes! at least the new sideburns counter balance it all :D
