Why would I get a 'security' alert and then be told to back up and refresh when I try to upload a photo...on the 'show your basses' thread of all places?

Unable to Duplicate Security alert on file upload

Why would I get a 'security' alert and then be told to back up and refresh when I try to upload a photo...on the 'show your basses' thread of all places?
That usually means that the browser window has been open for too long, idle. Like if I leave a browser window open all day and then try to pull down my "alerts" menu. I'm going to move this to a new thread. Can you give me a detailed account of what you tried, and if you've tried it multiple times with the same result etc.

On the subject of trying several times, and getting the same result...I did. (And you know what they say about trying the same thing several times and expecting a different result...)
The pic...a photo taken by my son in law, who is a big user of Flicker...perhaps it had something embedded in it?...would download all the way to 100%...light blue bar across the bottom of the screen...and then a black, rectangular box would pop up in the middle of the screen. The black box had a red rectangle in the middle of it stating "Security Error Occurred" Outside the red box, but still inside the black box the message read:"Please press back, refresh the page, then try again"...and it had the jpg number of the photo I was trying to upload.
I didn't know just where to go to find 'refresh', so I started the whole process over again...perhaps 4 times. (expecting a different result, are we???)
Anyway...I'm very proud of the pictures he took and would love to join the 'Show Your Basses' thread...if that's possible.

Sorry. Here's some questions for you: The image is saved locally on your computer, correct? You're trying to upload the photo, so it must be. Any idea what the file size is? Also, are you behind any kind of firewall? Are you at a work or home environment?
