Seeking opinions - Radial HDI

Looks like Radial Engineering has a new model . . . the HDI. Anyone have experience with these? Opinions?

Looks like an interesting unit, and for bass I particularly liked that it has an HPF and would be curious about its threshold freq. My intended uses would be home studio recording, probably not gigging / live performances.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like it was designed for guitar:
Here's a note from the manual:
HPF: Three-position switch rolls off low frequencies to compensate for additional low end content when applying distortion via the Color control. Note that this switch only affects signal that has been processed through the distortion channel of the Color control, the HPF does not affect the clean side of the HDI.

It's certainly a nice looking product and Radial doesn't make bad gear as far as I know. That said, for $800 per channel there are a lot of preamp options out there to consider. It's a very competitive pricepoint in terms of what their competitors are also offering. Not a bad thing, just more options to consider.
