That was what I thought.

There's a famous guy who's the only known virtuoso of the harp guitar and has a lot of videos out - fantastic playing, fantastic musical results. Can't remember the name.

Honestly, the rap on ABGs has always been "not enough body size" - to me it seems you've either got to go the Earthworks/Lamont route and make a really huge guitar shaped body, or something like this. And yet instead the makers keep making guitar-sized ABGs, sometimes not even as big as a dreadnought guitar, that can't be heard. If you've got to amplify it, the value of the ABG seems kind of dubious to me - in that case why not just get a cheap Squier Precision and a little bittty amp?

So I'd like to know more about the "harpguitarbass" as it seems conceptuallly to be on a potentially useful path. What does it sound like?

To be fair, at least some of those purple things are purple hearts... Not sure if there's some symbolism there, but, there it is.
