Seismic 2x15

Have not actually heard or seen that cabinet but any other Seismic equipment I have seen has been crap.....just saying.
Is this available real cheap? There’s nothing exceptional about Seismic cabs compared to a variety of other brands, budget or not. I ended up with a couple of 2x10’s in a bundle/trade deal for next to nothing, put some neo’s in them, all I can say is that they work, but just that. I should put the generic drivers back in, pawn them off on GC, but they probably wouldn’t want them.Looking for any feed-back, opinions and experience for a Seismic 2x15 cab. Thanks.
A brand new 2x15 bass cab for $200. ?
That's all I need to know.
I'm confident that a reputable-brand single 15” would out-perform it in every way.
And this is from someone who (justifiably or not) highly resents the prices of amps/cabs these days, and refuses to buy any, new or used.

i hate how everybody on here is so snobby. i had a similar seismic 2x10 that i got used from someone super cheap. i left it at a drummer friend's house just so i would have something to play thru whenever i had time to stop by. it sounded just fine. and it lasted forever. still there as far as i know. totally decent. but it was a 2x10. if you can get it for a good deal, go for it. but dont pay full price for a new one.
Buy an old heavy cab locally. You'll be much better off.
It's really not snobbery. There is simply much better stuff out there nowadays where you can get a lot more bang for not that many more bucks in every way. Even you used the terms "decent" and "just fine", not good, great, etc. For not that much more you can get a better designed, better sounding, lighter weight (and so on) cab that sounds better than decent.
First, let’s get it right. It’s not everybody….
Second, there’s a significant difference in snobbery and discernment for quality gear. Some may find it to be a finer line than others, but there’s a difference.
And I’ll never be ashamed of nor apologize for my discernment for gear that I’ve researched and found to be higher quality than other gear. If that offends some, so be it.
Much of my negativity was that this 2x15 is a large, heavy cab.
At least a 2x10 doesn't have those negatives.

To be clear, it's more than *I* would want to haul around, but relatively speaking, it's not terrible.
Their 2x10 is only 11 lbs lighter!
OP: I can't comment on how Seismic cabs sound, because I've never played through any, but one thing I will note is that, IIRC, most of their bass cabs have two versions based on which speakers they come with. The (slightly) more expensive ones with higher RMS rating have their "better" loudspeakers.
All that said, I generally subscribe to a lot of the feedback you've seen here: these are heavy, MDF cabs, with no-name speakers (which - hey - I have MCMs in one of my cabs, so I'm not necessarily biased against low shelf speakers) and no internal padding. It's hard to see their relative value compared to a used heavy brand-name cab especially when you consider the fact that you won't be able to sell it for anything yourself when it comes time to upgrade. At least with a Peavey or Kustom or whatever, you'll be able to sell it on to the next person who comes along to TB asking about Seismic 2x15s.
Of course, if you were asking about the 4x8, I'd say go for it, why not, so maybe I'm not the most reliable source here.

It seems a bit small for a 215.
I think that is the only thing holding the weight down.
I have a pair of 110 floor wedges.
After I opened them up, reglued most of it and tightened down the speakers they stopped rattling and worked OK...for a while.
One was missing a brace that the other had.
The reason they are cheap is that they cut every corner they could find.
Take the advertised specs with a large grain of salt.

tells me: if you aren't going to throw it around or leave it out in the rain, you'd have a decent (for the money) cabinet. if you took care of the cab, you could always swap in some better speakers. of course, there are much better cabs if money isn't scarce.
but if you're handy: here are some 'endorsements' for modded seismic cabs (albeit, dual 12"):

New or used, expensive or not, MDF or 17 ply birch…if you can make it work and it sounds good to you, that’s all you need to know.
I am all for young kids getting into music. It’s hard for them to save and spend $200-$300 let alone $2,000. If a used Seismic is all they can afford to get going I’m all for it! And would gladly go with them to pick it up and take it to their practice space. I would offer some advice on not getting cheated, and possible alternatives - but encouragement is key for young musicians. Someday they will have the money for the Mesas and Aguilars, etc.

You're right that I, at least, was assuming OP was looking at a new cabinet. It's $200 new, so I'm not sure what you could expect to pay for a used one: my gut feeling is that the seller would think it's new enough that they would probably want to get more than it's really worth.
There's that uncanny valley where the cabinet has very little actual value on the used market (big, heavy cabinet from an off-brand), but since the seller just laid out 2 g's for it a year or so ago, thinks they need to recoup some of their loss. Call it "Behringer Syndrome".
The Seismic cabs I've played have sucked. Large & heavy but they don't sound like it.
