i hate how everybody on here is so snobby. i had a similar seismic 2x10 that i got used from someone super cheap. i left it at a drummer friend's house just so i would have something to play thru whenever i had time to stop by. it sounded just fine. and it lasted forever. still there as far as i know. totally decent. but it was a 2x10. if you can get it for a good deal, go for it. but dont pay full price for a new one.

It’s best to tell the truth, and the truth is that Seismic Audio (SA) equipment is low cost and the quality is equivalent to the cost. Do you know if the 210 you had was equipped with the original speakers? I’ve seen more SA cabinets with replacement speakers than still equipped with the originals, because the originals didn’t hold up. The jack spring pressure is often so weak, a speaker cable will fall out if the cabinet is leaned back with the jack pointed toward the ground. It’s not totally unusable gear, but the SA gear I have seen is generally well below average quality. This is from observation of non-powered PA speakers, bass speakers, powered subs, powered PA speakers, and unpowered wedge monitors. If this is defined as snobbery, l’ll embrace it rather than tell anyone SA gear is good, when the vast majority of what I have seen is less than good.

No experience with this cab, but I gigged for a couple of years using (2) Seismic Audio 4x8 bass cabs, driven with a Carvin BX1500 head. Clear, articulate sound ! I would not recommend for touring or if you are a player who does not really take care of his/her equipment. Handle with a reasonable amount of care, they can be very usable !

I just sold a Peavey TXF 4x10 for that amount of money. 500x the cabinet that the Seismic dreams of being. Point is, you should be able to find a nice used cabinet for $200. Even a 2x15.

Keep an eye out for used Peavey gear.

This cab doesn't weight enough to be MDF. It must be particle board.

If it's used, pull the jack plate off and reach in with your cell phone and takes several pictures. Include any markings on the speakers.

Many old Peavey's are MDF, and they weight a ton, but they didn't denigrate. MDF got a bad rap from being associated with particle board. Some new MDF is moisture resistant. I have it unfinished on track saw tables that have been rained on and no harm. It still weighs a ton, but it's not particle board.

zombie thread arise!...Well these posts convinced me not to get a 15" SA floor wedge....Quality matters for a semi-pro band imo.

So I see people buying Seismic gear, watch it fall apart, and now I’m a snob?
