Would you like examples? Take Arctic Monkeys, they've been playing for 4 years, they write piss poor music technic-wise, yet they're touring europe and have made it big. Guess you know better than me though huh.

I'm actually not a grandpa yet, but my twin sister is a grandmother, so I guess that's close.

Wow now. There is no opinion here. One guy stated his opinion, he said gene simmons sucked. Surely, thats his opinion. The rest werent opinions, they were saying they thought better of themselves as a musician/composer than Gene Simmons. As I feel he is one of my composing influences and writes great bass lines, yes, I feel outraged when I see people who have no future in the music industry state that hes no good.

A grandpa, a rustyvinyl, all the same to me. You're a no good bass player dissing an international star because you coudlnt make it big yourself.

Are you quite sure you know everyone here's history in the music industry? Me, I'm just a hack who has fun playing on weekends, but there are some MONSTER players here on TB. Shut your idiotic mouth for a few minutes, and you may learn from a few of them.

As far as "no good", well, compared to some, that's probably true, compared to some others, it probably isn't.

Dont mistake things now. I'm talking about some people in this thread, noone else. Certainly not the whole TB community. Just cause you suck doesnt mean everyone does grandpa. Things have evolved since the 20s.

Actually, Pat is a pretty dang good bass player if you must know. I've recently met some guys from here who I'd put on the absolute same level as any pro you can point out.

Hell, I suck and I can outplay Gene, but most 6 month musicians already pass that mark anyway.

Man..you're really trying too hard. Things are usually funnier when they aren't forced. In case you haven't noticed, your "grandpa" slams aren't really having their intended effect.
