Sell me on a 5 string.

I am speaking from my own experience with 5 string basses, so take with a heavy grain of salt.

The StingRay 5 in HH setup has been the unknown grail bass for me. I still want a Carl Thompson, but for a mass market bass, the SR5 does everything I want a bass to do, and the neck design fits my hand perfectly. The SR5, for me and my styles (classic rock, hard rock, funk, metal, and jazz), just fits. It’s a je ne sais quoi thing. I just knew that when I first played an SR5, this was what I was looking for. Sold my Fender Adam clayton signature Jazz Bass since it just ended up sitting in the case.
